Kevin Gates Instagram story video leaves internet horrified
Kevin Gates, born Kevin Jerome Gilyard, is a multifaceted American artist – a rapper, singer, songwriter, and entrepreneur. Affiliated with Bread Winners’ Association in collaboration with Atlantic Records, he released his debut studio album, Islah, in January 2016, which climbed to the second position on the US Billboard 200 chart.

On May 7, 2023, Kevin Gates posted a video on his Instagram story that featured a woman giving birth. He captioned it, “The Most Beautiful thing on earth is the gift of Life.” Many viewers speculated that the video captured the birth of his youngest child; however, the woman in the video is not Dreka, Kevin’s wife.
Originally, the video was shared on @indiebirth’s Instagram account on April 15, and the woman giving birth has no relation to Kevin Gates. According to the caption, she wanted to share her “amazing birth experience” in celebration of Black Maternal Health Week. As a “doula, student midwife, mother, and woman,” she is dedicated to promoting joy and autonomy during childbirth.
